Principal's Message
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you how excited I am to be the Principal of Ramsay Elementary School.
I have been with the Mount Pleasant Area School District since 2004. I worked for three years serving as Assistant Principal for the Jr./Sr. High School before becoming the Principal of both Rumbaugh and Ramsay Elementary Schools. I have been at the elementary buildings since 2007. Prior to coming to Mount Pleasant Area School District, I was a teacher at Penn Trafford School District where I taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics for three years. Prior to that, I was at Woodland Hills School District where I taught 7th, 8th and 9th grade mathematics for four years.
I received my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics and Computer Science, and my teaching certification from Carlow College. I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, my Principal’s Certification and my Superintendent's Certification from Gannon University.
I look forward to working with all the students and families throughout your child’s tenure at Rasmay Elementary School. Should you have any questions, problems, or anything that you would like to discuss with me please do not hesitate to email me. I am dedicated to providing the best education for all of the children of the Mount Pleasant Area School District.
Sincerely,
Lance E. Benteler
Principal
Ramsay Elementary School
