Jacobs Creek Watershed Association (JCWA) is partnering with the PA Fish and Boat Commission and will be hosting a Mentored Youth Trout Day event on March 28, 2026. The goal of this event is to provide youth (children 15 and under) with a eventful fishing experience, often for the first time, thus creating a lifelong appreciation for nature and the art of angling. This year promises to be just as memorable as we aim to provide an unforgettable experience for both the youth and adults in attendance. There will be door prizes and cookies for the children, and refreshments and pizza for everyone at no cost to our participants.

Our local 10U Little League All Star team took 4th place at the state level. There will be a parade on Main Street from Braddock Road Avenue to the Doughboy tonight at 6 PM in their honor.

Hello students, I hope your first week of summer break has been a fantastic one. The Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department is looking for volunteers to help collect cakes during our street fair. The dates for this year's street fair are June 25-28. We meet at 4:50 PM at the corners of W. Smithfield St. and Mullin Ave, and get back between 7:00/7:30-ish. This a great opportunity to help our community or get any needed volunteer hours. If you are able to help, please let me know. We appreciate your consideration in volunteering.
